How I wanted to go to Baghdad but ended up in Iceland.
Yes, I know Baghdad is a dangerous place, maybe the most dangerous place on earth right now, but sometimes you just have to take risks.
Well, that’s what you told me when I was planning my trip.
But I never got there.
The train was ambushed about halfway through my journey.
I lost all my belongings and everything that I thought was mine, and ended up in Iceland.
So here I am in a place I don’t know and didn’t even want to come to in the first place.
It’s very cold here and I am surrounded by people who speak a different language, a language I don’t speak and I cannot comprehend.
And as hard as I try nobody will answer my questions and also: why did you let me go?
